The Milwaukee Public Museum has raised 80% of its $240
million goal for a new building, with $191 million, including around $105
million from private donors as of December 31, according to Ellen Censky,

for building the new facility. The museum is seeking $5 million in federal
grants. The cost of designing and constructing the new museum and its exhibits
is estimated at $200 million, with additional costs including $20 million for
